Registered Social Worker

Lisa is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and has been in the field of mental health and disability services for over two decades. She is also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. She has provided counselling and support for children, youth, adolescents, and their families/caregivers in multiple settings including community mental health, private clinics, and schools. Lisa specializes in supporting individuals who are experiencing Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, mild to moderate depression, learning disabilities, behaviour concerns, high functioning autism (HFA), Autism Spectrum Disorders, in addition to other mental health and health related issues.

Embodying kindness, compassion, and deep empathy Lisa seeks to facilitate and empower individuals and families who hope to achieve balance and an overall sense of mental health and well-being. Lisa brings an integrative and collaborative approach to treatment which centers the aspirations and goals of the individuals and/or families she supports and utilizes evidence based approaches including: motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, solution focused and strengths based approaches, DBT, CBT, EFT, and mindfulness.

Lisa received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. Lisa has also been trained in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Functional Behaviour Analysis (FBA) techniques to address behaviour concerns in youth and teens. Additionally, Lisa has certificates from the Geneva Center for Autism for the treatment of Autism and related issues and she has been trained in restorative practices which facilitates repair between individuals and their families.
